I heard good things about Curacao so me and my girlfriend went 12/18/2017 to buy fit bits. I discovered the scam this company was running. My girlfriend currently had Curacao account that she opened in September and payed off in November. She wanted to Finance two fit bits using her Curacao Credit but latter was told her account was deactivated (very suspicious). They redirected us to the credit department, I was not happy that they told my girlfriend that they are going to do a credit inquiry on a existing account. I ask why they do this practice. A Curacao Associate said " we always do this every time". I knew they are taking advantage of people, so investigate. I latter find lawsuits on Curacao (The People of California Vs Curacao).
The following passage describes my experience of Curacao: "Curacao, a retail store chain and its co founder Ron Azarkman, have preyed upon Curacao's Latino Base Customer base. While Curacao touts its commitment to the latino Community, the company actually takes advantage of its customers, many of whom are low-income, monolingual Spanish-speaking immigrants who lack access to traditional credit to purchase basic big-ticket household necessities from other retailers."
"Curacao victimizes consumers through a variety of unlawful, unfair, and fraudulent business practices, including the following: misleading advertising; unwanted contract add-ons; illegal sale of warranties; failure to honor warranties; failure to clearly post return policies; refusal to honor returns; illegal debt collection practices"...
