I wanted to make sure my cat didn't have worms- this was the only issue I had in bringing my cat to this incompetent clinic! WORMS! Seemed pretty basic to me which is why in spite of my past faulty experiences with them that they could figure this out with less headaches then me starting over with a new vet.... I'VE BEEN BRINGING MY ANIMALS TO THIS CLINIC SINCE 2000!! In the beginning there were experienced doctors and very reliable front desk help but in the last 5yrs, I've noticed that most of their doctors and ALL of their front desk help seems to be under 25yrs old and didn't have any confidence in their OWN ability to do their job! The last few times I've taken any animal to their clinic I've sworn I would find another clinic, and now for sure I won't go back and I'm even taking the time to write this!! Called them to see about how to get my cat tested for worms. I couldn't provide a fresh sample of poo but I was assured by the incompetent front desk boy that they have a process $$ and can get a sample. The week of New Years, very busy and they offered me a new kind of appointment where I drop my cat off in her tote and leave her until the dr (yeah right) would see her and give me a call with the results. The "doctor" called me back to tell me that they can't EVER get a good enough sample from cats because they are so small and I needed to provide a poo sample. She went on to explain that by the symptoms I described that she thought it was related to a thyroid problem; which she could run a test on for $150. Uummm, that's interesting but I really want to rule out worms first before I go paying you any more money...???? And WHY did I leave my old gal there in a crate for hours for you to tell me you cant even do what your front desk guy said you could???? I picked her up and decided to give some grace AND delivered a fresh sample directly to the desk person I had been dealing with this whole time before close of business that SAME day! A business day goes by and no word... My cat is sick, the next day a call into the office proves their shocking- ABSOLUTE ineptness. They didn't have a record of ever getting the sample that I dropped off. Not only that but they seemed to look for every opportunity to point the finger of responsibility my way!! Eventually, the front desk guy calls me back to take responsibility for not keeping my cats chart with her sample. Apparently the lab people at this clinic throw away the samples (bearing the first and last name of their client) if the front desk boy fails to keep the chart with the sample... That was the explanation from him...So much for their computers!!! So my sample was thrown away. He was apologetic and sorry for my inconvenience but where is the manager in all this? Thanks for the call but I'm more concerned about the competency and accountability now. Will there be any growth from this problematic process?? In the end, they did FULLY reimburse me for the office and fecal test fee and a doctor from the clinic called me later to express her sympathy for the issue, offering to give me a 50% discount on the test if I wanted to bring in another sample. Too bad I have absolutely no trust in their ability to do anything right anymore! Hope my time writing this helps someone else make a more informed decision on what can be a very important entity in their animals life.
