| - I've been living at the Colonnade for a few weeks now and at this point I'm trying to remain positive. For the price I do feel we got what we paid for. But there was a few things that they mentioned or didn't mention that would of been nice to know. When viewing the apartment I was told that a professional cleaning crew would come through before move in day and clean the apartment from ceiling to floor so I didn't have to. The only thing I noticed that was cleaned was the carpet being vacuumed. Otherwise there was sticky residue on the new vinyl that I scrubbed off myself. There was build up of dust on the door slats. The paint job could of been ten times better. There looks like there was no care taken at all they painted over everything and there is paint on the new vinyl floor as well. They painted over hair and what ever may have been on the wall like command hooks, vents, light switches. The model apartment they showed us of course looked professionally painted and cleaned, and from what I was told the only thing different in my apartment would be the counter tops and appliances. My air conditioning did go out one night at like 11PM but I will give it maintenance they were on top of it and had it back up and running within an hour or so and even called back to check in. The day we signed are agreement I was told we would have internet and cable and it was included in rent. Turns out we didn't have it and we had to schedule an appointment to set it up, we also figured out that we had to purchase our own router(not mentioned). I went up to schedule appointment for 9AM for like two-three days later, never got the call, went up to management they told me I had to sign paperwork(not ever mentioned), at this point I feel like they expect me to read their minds. I went up to management a few days ago
To verify my address and I mentioned how I havent been receiving my mail. I go in today to verify again, and she then ask me if I filled out a "green card" and of course I haven't this is the first I've heard about it, I asked her if I could get one, she said no
You have to get it from the postal worker, well how am I supposed to do that if I'm at work. Makes no sense to me. I also went to get in the shower and guess what no water. I go upstairs clearly upset because I double checked my door and mailbox and there was no notice! I come back and I'm sitting on my couch waiting for the water to run again and I hear a rustling at my door and they put a notice I felt like to be a smart as* because they only put it on my door and went back up to the
Office. I wouldn't be mad if I got a notice a day or 24 hrs prior and they claim it was an emergency and I should of noticed all the water in the parking lot that has been there for days.... staff is awesome some days and they are crappy some days. Like I said before I feel like I have had to jump through hoops to get anywhere with this place. Neighbors are nice and I haven't had any noise issues other then from the street/loud cars. I feel like the main issue is that management just needs to be straight forward so people know everything before signing. Management I feel like doesn't care enough to do anything about placing notices or making sure their community is informed..
UPDATE: I'm over this place. I'm ashamed to even have chose this place to live in. It's all painted a pretty picture for you until you move in. Office staff is rude and I hate to see someone else go through what I have with this place. My place was infested with roaches they had someone come spray but still at least a roach a morning I find in my apartment. We have homeless people and drunks come on the property and tried to break into mine and my fiancé's vehicle and i went up and asked if even though there
Is no cameras on the vehicle if we could see maybe someone run across the camera view up front when our car alarms went off at 3 AM they said they would give the note to Polly and guess what weeks later and still nothing. A week later my alarm went off and then they lectured my fiancé about parking up front even though we are just trying to keep our vehicles protected and in camera view. There is no winning with this place. It all seems a good deal if you like always feeling like a problem to the office staff. They have made multiple promises that they apparently don't want to keep like telling us when we applied for the apartment that we would get $150 back from the fees and such., it's now November and still nothing. If I were you I would steer clear off this place $800 a month seems like a good sea until your actually locked in.
