I have been to Lavish three times now and it seems to be completely hit or miss. The three stars represent a mix of the great pedicures and mediocre manicures. I would give a 1 for mani and five for pedi. The pedicures give great massages and I have had no issues with their prep and shaping. Then the manicures are just lame and poor polish jobs. The massage is essentially just rubbing lotion quickly into my hands and arms. The shaping took this man a solid ten to fifteen minutes and then the polish. Bless this mans soul he should be doing polish on manicures. He did a good job on my polish on my feet and then a train wreck on my hands.
He put on four layers of color. FOUR. I knew when the first layer went on streaky and globbish that it was going downhill from there. He just kept piling it on. There is NO way that your layers of thick polish and a thick layer of top coat is ever going to dry. I just don't understand why he didn't realize it was a train wreck and start over, or ask another tech to paint for him. That's a respectable option to ensure the client is happy.
Of course the paint got ruined even after sitting under the fan for ten minutes. I know I should have said something while I was there, but the manager even saw my nails and should have just said OMG please let me redo that paint job. She didn't.
So I will return gladly for pedicures, but not for manicures.
