Hot yoga class with Darcy. This place has a warm community feel, members all seem to know each other and have been practicing together for years. I would say that the level is a bit advanced, they say newbies welcome not sure. I've been going to hot and cold yoga for several years. They didn't ask if I needed mat or towel rental.
Pros
Couch seating for 5 at the front.
Hot water kettle and filtered water in the bathroom.
Friendly staff that took the time to answer phone calls, questions and give tours.
Reusable water bottles in case you forget to bring one, but some are a bit old and look like they are lost and found.
Took the time to give a tour of the studio.
RMT on-site as well.
Very clean and well-lit.
Cons
Since you need to take off your shoes, there is a ton of shoes near the doorway. It would be a mess when it snows or rains.
Pace of class was way too fast, people need time to listen and follow.
Studio is located up two flights of stairs, well could be a pro as well. There is an elevator if you're lazy.
No paper towels to wipe down mat after class.
Men's change room cramped and offered no privacy, you could see right in when the door opens.
The windows facing Bloor still say Tula Yoga West, this looks a bit unprofessional since this studio opened in 2014.
Protip - Only half of their classes can be registered online, so you can always try and walk-in 15 min prior to the class.
Damage - $25
