  • I've never stayed here overnight, but I have visited...twice. I'm a sucker for a good ol' dive bar, or in this case...casino. Two years ago my friends and I wandered into this area of Fremont, and decided to stop in the El Cortez. Here's my theory when it comes to gambling... it's all computer based!!!! You can rub the machine, take your pay out ticket in & out, do whatever it is "thinking" you'll WIN...but it's all based on what the computer is doing, and well luck too, I suppose... My theory continues... I kept reading how this is a big pay out casino, I mean...how could that be??? One more so than another??? Is it possible??? Well, doesn't hurt to find out. When I visited a few years back...my friend played an older slot machine and doubled his money. I believe it was quarters, and he paid for our cab back to the strip. I didn't play, I helped him gamble. I didn't do much gambling this past trip since I was only in Vegas less than 24 hours but I played here, based on my reading, research, and last experience, and ... doubled my money playing slots. My friend hit $100 on the green machine slot game too. So.... if you're on Fremont, give this place a try. I didn't win a penny at Four Queens so maybe it's random, maybe it's luck...but winning goes on here!!! And...I also read they have a good burger & beer special too!
