I visited River Café for Big Taste this year. My cousin and I opted for the five course gourmet menu with the wine pairings so we could get the full experience. River Café did not disappoint! I loved every course. The champagne poached oyster was a real treat, my only wish is that you got more than one. I really loved the squid, and the chicken paté was delish. The price tag is as big as the taste, and 59274927 times larger than the portions. A worthy restaurant for a special occasion, if you want your fine dining to have a bit of a rustic edge -- this is totally a luxury winter cabin dining experience. I like it.
