| - I feel like i have a brick in my stomach, and i ate less than half my entree.
With such rave reviews i was bound to find myself here eventually. Unfortunately, this was a case of me reading the wrong reviews obviously. From the photos you would think that the dining room is nice, which it's not really. Very dated, and in need of a bit of restyle for the price of the menu. The view is worthwhile, but you need to dim the lighting in the dining room so there isn't so much of a glare and you can actually see the view better. Service was in a word, sloppy. When I was seated the salt/pepper and other items on the table were a bit thrown around because i chose to sat facing the view. My waiters shirt was about 4 sizes too big for him and looked very untidy. And when the waiter mentioned he would return with bread sticks to the table, he never did. All small items but at the cost of the menu, i would expect more. I ordered the Carbonara $21, and it was incredibly heavy with way too much cheese and just felt a mess when eating. I could only stomach about a 1/3 of it and asked for a box for the rest which actually was tossed on my way out the door as i knew i wouldn't eat it later. Never again, and i hope i can save others who are looking for a quality Italian meal.
If you are looking for a HUGE portion, with very heavy food, with a very mediocre ambiance and service then this is your spot. A tip for anyone who likes a good Carbonara like myself, try Otto at the Venetian $22 and its quite delicious with top service and a great atmosphere.
