So my son loves this place - the planetarium, traveling exhibits, geology... he digs it. (Pun intended) From a kid's perspective it's a pretty cool place staffed by lovely people who care about kids and science.
From an adult perspective it's pricey - the new parking deck will cost you $10 for just two hours alone and let you enter in the middle of the museum. They tore out and moved the outdoor animals to make room. The trees didn't fare so well. Tickets to get in, ok fine, planetarium an extra $5 each - which I get! Limited seating, special presenter, etc. On site dining.... listen a family is dropping a Benjamin for the day.
It's a good museum, if a tiny bit dated, that needed more parking. It now has more parking.....
