You'd never guess from the outside what deliciousness awaits you behind those doors. Perfectly reminiscent of a dark, back alley English pub in the best way. Cool, laid back atmosphere.
We were here at lunchtime and there was a pretty good crowd in there but we were seated with no wait. My husband, father and I each had a beer and then checked out the large menu. Excellent selections and even had a vegan/vegetarian menu for those that get into that sort of thing.
I had the Guinness stew pasty, which was perfectly cooked and reminded me of amazing winter comfort food. It came with a side of sour cream and chives sauce which was good, but I highly recommend asking for a side of the red wine gravy. It's awesome! My husband had the Cajun chicken pasty which was just a bit spicy and delicious. My dad ordered the porky pasty and he was impressed as well. Also had a side of the fries which were hand cut and just a bit over cooked on the sides and perfectly done in the middle. Just the way fries should be.
It's a bit of a drive for us since we are in North Peoria and we ventured to the Tempe location off of University, but worth the drive. We will definitely be back and also hit up their other locations when in the area.
