| - Four stars for the tacos and salsa. Three stars for everything else.
Coming here on a Tuesday night, it was packed. Oddly enough, there was a whole other room that seemed like a "group table" room, even though there was room for other people. I got seated fairly quickly since I was solo, but a group of four literally sat at the waiting area the entire time I was dining. I started off with their horchatas. I didnt like the fact that they only serve a 32 oz but I went with what they had. The horchata came off more like water than rice milk. They add alot of fresh fruit, which is great, but is hard to drink with skinny straws. Many of times the straw got clogged. Id recommend packing a boba tea straw. The flavor was mostly cinnamon, lacking a cream flavor.
The chips are nothing special, but that salsa was something special. Not only do they have a wide variety of great flavors, but its all self serve! It was hard not to devour all the chips with that salsa.
Service wise, it was lagging. The waiter didnt bring me water until 20 minutes after I sat down. At the time, i wa swell, hydrated, so I wasnt evem mad about it. I will say that I had to flag down the waiter everytime I needed something.
I ordered the Santisima Taco and the Gaucho Quesidilla. the taco was superb. Great ingredients, great tortilla, and the shrimp was a nice addition! The salsa only made it better. The quesidilla was not exactly what I was expecting. They deep fry the thing, but its more like corn masa than flour. Its not bursting with flavor, but its decent. The ingredients inside of course were really good. the avocado and cheese they had on top of the quesadilla only enhanced the meal.
I would be curious to try their Gaucho as a burrito. i wouldnt mind coming back here again, but I really hope they get better service. I know I wont be ordering that horchata!
