| - I had been wanting to check out Joe's Farm grill for some time and just haven't had an opportune moment to do so. I personally enjoy supporting local establishments and so, I was very stoked we finally made it in. I LOVE veggies! I mean, it's apparent at this point through life that I only eat meat when I'm craving it. So, I've tried a whole heck of a lot of veggie burgers and mushroom burgers. I am never quite sure what to expect and though there are a few joints that have a decent "veggie" burger many of them never have exactly what I'm looking for. Up until this point there has been no mushroom burger that I would order again, anywhere... Typically, if I'm paying attention and see the veggie burger is a Portobello burger or Boca burger, I will change my order....Until now.
There is an awesome outdoor seating area and though it was pretty busy, we sat inside, it seemed like a pleasant spot to enjoy a meal. I went with the Portobello Mushroom Sandwich with side beets and a strawberry lemonade. Holy moly! The first bite of my burger was exceedingly impressive. I could tell the mushroom was marinated or something because it was packed full of flavor rather than just a plain bland mushroom on a bun. The bun itself was obviously fresh and delicious as well. I'm not sure one can go wrong with a side of beets and they were just that, fresh beets. The lemonade was in high demand and that was really the only thing I ended up waiting for.
I would absolutely go back to Joe's. In fact, I look forward to our next meal there and an opportunity to try some other menu items, although, the mushroom sandwich alone would bring me back again. I didn't make it into the bathrooms but from what I've heard it's worth just making a bathroom trip just to check them out.
