| - What an interesting and fun restaurant! Who doesn't like mobsters? When you go to the front entrance, there's a little surprise there for you. I won't ruin it. After we got in, we got seated. We sat in the main room across from the singer. I don't know what his name is, but he's a wonderful singer. He sings Frank Sinatra hits. And, I think a couple others. (I tipped him five dollars and he was very happy.)
We started off with the stuffed mushrooms. They were pretty good and a little spicy. We also got some lightly toasted bread with butter. I really loved my Tiramisu martini. For my second martini, an orange Creamsicle was recommended. But, I did not like it at all. Luckily for me, the waitress took it away and brought me a 2nd Tiramisu martini. (It tastes just like the dessert!)
For the entrées, I got the "wise guy" Alfredo with shrimp and he got the New York steak with pasta on the side. The steak was surprisingly delicious. Capo's is a steakhouse in addition to Italian food. The Alfredo sauce was perfect. It was creamy and it wasn't too greasy like sometimes Alfredo can be. Plus, we did ask for Parmesan cheese. They don't grate it at the table for you, but I do believe that it is freshly grated every day. For dessert, we got the Tiramisu. It was very delicious. Overall, it is a really entertaining and wonderful restaurant.
My second visit was just as wonderful. We didn't have a reservation, so we couldn't get a table. But, we sat at the bar and it was very pleasant. Again, this is a very romantic place, perfect for a date night. We had a wonderful drinks raging from Tiramisu martini, white Russian and he just had Whiskey and Coke. For the two appetizers, we chose calamari and the giant meatballs. The meatballs were extremely delicious... very flavorful and just perfect. And, there was so much of them, that I took the leftovers to go and they tasted just as good in the morning warmed up in the oven! Overall, it is a great place to go on a romantic date and listen to some wonderful old time Frank Sinatra tunes!
