| - My husband and I went in to look at the Acura RDX. Our sales guy was very friendly, but did not explain the car or its features very well. I couldn't tell you what features the RDX has that any other car does not have. But, the salesman is not the reason for the negative experience.
After talking with our salesman for a bit, he had us talk to the manager. This guy immediately tried to push a lease on us because "people that drive these cars switch them out every three to four years." Ok, fair enough. A little snooty sounding, but I can live with it because, it's probably true. However, we were in no way interested in leasing, we drive too much for that. Anyways, then, he goes on to talk about how he just moved to Nevada two months ago and couldn't believe the high insurance prices in Nevada "because of those Hispanics." Then he goes on a tirade about how he can't believe Nevada gives driving authorization cards and how all those people are illegal immigrants. I could not believe this.
First off, this is not OK ever in a professional setting. But, when a Hispanic woman is sitting in front of you, you are either completely clueless and ignorant or unabashedly racist. A fun fact he didn't know, I'm also an immigration attorney, so his tirade is doubly insulting. What a terrible experience.
