  • For the last Red Rock Canyon/Kraft Boulders trip I took here during Veteran's Day weekend, we had called another crash pad rental place, and all of their crash pads were sold out. We were worries that our long-awaited bouldering trip might not work out. Luckily, I called Desert Rock Sports, and they said no problem, we'll have some. They weren't kidding. Showed up on a Friday morning, and they had dozens of crash pads for rent in the back - $15/day for regular size and $25/day for large size. Although used and somewhat dusty, the pads were great for what we needed them for, and it was a fun day out on the rocks for the boulderers. Since it was a 3-day weekend, we had wanted to rent Friday and Sunday, but not on Saturday. After picking up and dropping off the pads on Friday, they allowed us to come in on Saturday evening to rent boulders for Sunday during the day and only charge for one day, keeping my information from Friday in their folder to make Saturday night's process very simple. Tip: Keep in mind their hours, as they are open until about 8pm on weekdays, but Sundays they are only open from 10am-6pm.
