I've come here twice in the past few months. The first thing I noticed was that it used to be called Xtreme Escape but they have since changed their name to Xterious Escape. Ok, now onto the rooms.
Great Escape (Prison Escape themed)
Difficulty: Intermediate
This was the first room I did at this location and our group of 6 had a fantastic time. There was a great mix of puzzles of varying difficulties. I personally liked that there was a lengthy/difficult puzzle in the mix. I don't want to spoil the room, so I'll just say that the theme is executed well and be careful about how you split people at the beginning. (If you can, have an experienced person in each). We just barely made it out of the room, but we had a great experience with this one.
Time: 57/60 minutes
Bugsy's Nightmare (Mafia themed)
Difficulty: Intermediate to Hard
I had high expectations this time around since it was my second time here and this is supposedly their most popular room. We had a group of 6 and we made it out with 10 minutes remaining. Odd because this room is supposed to be harder than Great Escape right? Turns out the room wasn't prepared properly, meaning we skipped a whole sequence of the game because something wasn't locked. Not only that, but in the next sequence I turned a door handle and ended up back in the hallway outside the game. The exit wasn't locked either! Pretty disappointing to have all these errors, especially since I was trying to show some friends how great escape rooms are (welp). Still, I think this room was pretty linear and straightforward, so you could even do it with 3-4 people.
Time: 50/60 minutes.
So I had two different experiences here, one great and one disappointing. I'd give it a 3/5 since the second room was still ok despite the issues. Great Escape was good and their other rooms seem promising. I might still give this one another shot in the future.
