| - FAIL! RUDE! RIP-OFF! BEWARE!
I am an ASE Certified Mechanic AND a former Snap-On-Tool Dealer (I fixed tools for mechanics) So I know A LOT about automotive repair.
Also, look at ALL of ratings on YELP, I have NEVER experienced worse customer service and rudeness EVER!
I DO NOT like shops that put on the facade of being your friendly shop and charging people that have nice cars WAY WAY too much. This is PROOF that when challenged about their ethics and pricing by someone that REALLY knows what is going on, they get rude and offensive.
I even said out loud in front of other customers, "It is an hour repair at the MOST and you want $300.00, what do you charge a hour?" and he replied, "That is what we charge, tike it or leave it." VERY rudely. I am SURE that A LOT of people would not question it and just pay it.
DO NOT GO HERE! I am also sure that ALL of the YELP reviews are from people that think that this shop is a lifesaver because they are friendly and fixed their problem and overpaid BIG TIME or was charged for more then that got.
My 2000 E-320 was having major issues, so I searched for the nearest Mercedes-Benz repair shop.
My neighbor has a tow truck and I asked him if he could tow my car. When he asked me where I want the car towed, I told him about this place and he automatically new the street address and told me NOT to bring my car there because they are Rip-Offs and it is well know of the fact.
Well, despite the advice, I was able to get my car to this shop and they were friendly and the diagnostic cost was reasonable., After a $900.+ estimate I talked to one of the service managers about getting a used part. I asked about if I had the repairs done there of the diagnostic charged would be applied to the repair and I was told "YES". The part was going to cost over $600. and I was able to get a perfectly working used one on ebay for $175.
When the part arrived I brought it to the shop and a WHOLE OTHER STORY! And he was TOTALLY RUDE! There was no "Credit" and it only take ONE HOUR to do the repair would no negotiate about charging $300. for a ONE HOUR REPAIR! SO I left and I will NEVER EVER go there again. As a matter of fact, when I drive by, I am going to look the other way because this place TOTALLY DISGUST me as a Mercedes repair shop that thinks that they can rip-off and over charge people and also as decent human beings!!
In anger I went home and decided to do the repairs myself and in UNDER a hour with limited knowledge and tools I got it done and the car runs fine!I should have listened to the tow truck driver.
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
