  • The spring on our garage door snapped, and the door would not open. We first called Precision Door Service, they came out a few hours later and said we would need to spend a minimum $1,500 to get everything working again. We were then charged an $85 fee just for them having come out to look at it. Displeased with this surprise, I called up Schmitz Door Service for a second opinion. They were literally at our door within 15 minutes, and quoted us only $260 to fix everything that actually needed repair. No charge for coming out to look at it. Can't recommend them more!! I did call Precision and got my $85 refunded, only because I told them I had not been warned about the charge ahead of time. They actually made me wait so they could listen to the phone recordings, which proved I was right. Such a scam.
