I took my friend here for her birthday and I had been warned ahead of time that it gets expensive so I came strapped and prepared.
The atmosphere is great. Some nice exposed brick and an overall simple vibe, with a nice little bar and kitchen in the back. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in and having two super-friendly servers made me feel even more at home. Our waiter was knowledgeable and genuinely seemed pleased to serve us! Started off with some Kronenbourg draft (one of my favourites that I seldom see at bars, let alone in draft form) but they only came in half-pints. Which I guess makes sense for a French restaurant.
Now the food tastes amazing... But I was a pretty hungry lad and the portions are very small. I ordered a romaine lettuce salad which was delicious, but it was very minimal. Same goes for the duck, which was the size of a baby chick. The flavours are out of this world though but I am a simple man and was looking for something more filling. So you might not want to assume going on an empty stomach is a smart plan.
We went full-on this night... We even had some dessert and fruit wine to end the evening. The dessert was fantastic. I had a coffee creme brule! In total we had appetizers, mains, dessert, a bottle of wine and dessert wine as well. For two people the total (with generous tip) was 260 dollars!
So definitely not for the poor. But if you want to impress someone on a date I can't recommend this place enough. I think the thing I was more impressed with was the service. It just couldn't get any better in my opinion. Mind you there were only about 3-4 other tables when we were there, so when the place is packed it might be slower. The overall vibe of Delux is perfect. Will definitely be coming back when I can afford to spend a bill on one dinner.
