Warning.. do not go with DirecTV. Here is my experience. DirecTV came out and partially installed television service. The geek squad came out and mounted our televisions so as planned, we called DirecTV back to complete the installation and provide a Genie box so we could wirelessly watch a TV in the kitchen. My husband spent about one hour on the phone to arrange for a technician to come back. We stayed home the next day and received an automated text that the technician was on his way. He never showed up. We went through the same process the next day on the telephone and we were promised again the tech would come out the next day. No one showed up again. We followed up yet again with another call and again were promised that a technician would call us to set up an appointment. No one called. We have waited about two weeks with no TV service. We would go with Cox but they do not provide a wireless genie box. These people are incompetent and have a very poor customer service. We have been charged all this time for three TVs! We live in a condominium community and there are many DirecTV antennas on the roof. Installation is not a problem here. Dealing with DirecTV is like dealing with a company in a Third World.
Our only recourse at this point is to dismount the television in the kitchen and do drywall repair. How disappointing.
