  • This is REALLY cool artwork in the middle of the dessert! Since we were on vacation in Las Vegas, Tim suggested that we stop by and visit this relatively new tourist attraction. It was the first time for Gloria, Sathy and me. I'm glad we followed Tim because it isn't really visible from the main road. I saw signs for Seven Magic Mountains (look for brown signs with white wording). We took the designated cutoff towards Sloan, Nevada, and drove for another 10 to 15 minutes before we saw this massive creation in the distance. We approached a small unpaved parking area and just followed a bunch of people who walked towards the colorful boulders. There were signs along the way which warned us to stay on the path to avoid snakes. When you go, watch out for the barbed wire fence and just go through the entrance. Go soon because this exhibit will end in May 2018. It is one of the biggest Art Installations in the world and it took over 40 years to build. This FREE exhibit was done by Swiss artist, Ugo Rondinone! I'm really happy that we toured this amazing masterpiece together. Being in the late afternoon heat while hiking a short, dusty, rocky path was a great and memorable ending to a fun vacation! Note: For more information, go to sevenmagicmountains.com
