| - I had been a patient of his for a number of years. He was a good dentist at that time. However, his practice has expanded greatly (he moved his practice to a bigger office and hired an associate). I had a filling (which he performed a couple of years ago) come out and got an appointment within a week. When I went to my appointment (and he would have charged me $25 if I did not give 24 hrs notice), I was in the waiting room slightly over 60 minutes past my appointment time. Needless to say, I left and even though I told the receptionist that he should not call me, he did anyway (I guess they don't listen). On my answering machine, he mentioned that he was running a little behind so I should give him a call tomorrow. My definition of a little behind may be 15 minutes, not 60 minutes. If he was running so far behind, then why didn't the office staff call me and either reschedule or give me a heads up to come in a little later? My time is also important. Needless to say, I've moved on to a different dentist (with whom I am happy at this point). Dr. Kintonis is so overloaded with patients that the quality of the dentistry potentially suffers. So, if you like assembly line dentistry (as he has quite a number of chairs that he goes to and fro, like he's double parked), who totally cares about the bottom line, and potentially provides lesser quality in his work (given that my filling didn't stay), then this is the dentist for you.
