  • Brought my niece and her cousin here for a play date since my niece loves trains. My niece loved the train as it was long and the conductor great. However, the seats are mostly uncovered so it can get especially hot especially on Az weather. Not much to see either during the train ride but since she was only two did not pay much attention to the scenaries. Her much older cousin was more interested in the play area which is right beside the train station. Con is that they do not officially allow parents/sitters bring food from outside vendors to eat in their tables and chairs. (An official rules sign was posted for this). Not that there was many tables and chairs available. You can buy food from their stalls but it is located on the other side of the park. There was not much variety on their menu either although the ice cream we got was tasty. Did have to pay cold stone prices for it though. The museum for small train collections, you can enter for free. The exhibit for the president's train; however, need tickets to enter. You can view a small video about it inside, see what they used equipment wise on display case and enter a small train to see it for yourself. There wasn't much, thus, I would only recommend the president's train exhibit for school age kids.. Lastly, to save money I recommend buying the book of tickets instead of the paying individually if you have 4 or more people in your party.
