| - I had a great consultation with Dr. Kim today!
Everything about the practice is exactly what one would hope for:
1) First and foremost, Dr. Kim is a very kind, thoughtful, and patient endodontist. Sometimes, even if I disagree with somebody, I look to see HOW they think to get a better idea of their reasoning ability, and it's clear that Dr. Kim has excellent critical thinking skills, which should come as no surprise if you see his credentials... one could argue they are second to none. Frankly, that's why I picked him! I also really appreciated how willing he was to listen to my ideas and my complex dental/medical history. I have a tendency to go off on tangents, and he scored major points by entertaining my opinions and formulating ideas about said opinions (instead of merely dismissing them). I'm sure my rambling can become tiring for many, but it helps to alleviate my anxiety if I at least feel heard.
2) A lovely staff, too! Thank you, Melissa, for being able to get me in so quickly and accommodating me! Addisen greeted me with such a warm demeanor, as did Sandra, who was very gentle and sweet while taking my x-rays. Impressed!
3) Nice location, and the office itself is both very cozy and classy. It's modern, yet rustic and earthy. I've been to a ton of dental and doctor offices in my day, and this was one of my favorites. I'd say it's even nicer in person. It was very tranquil, so people coming in with extreme pain will at least feel like they are in a calming location! And there was water and coffee waiting for patients when I arrived. Also, I got there 30 minutes early for an 8AM appt, and Dr. Kim was already there alert and prepping for the day. That's awesome! Shows he really cares about what he is doing. And my appt. actually started a bit early because everybody else had their act together, too! ;)
4) I liked Dr. Kim's approach in giving me a few options. It wasn't "my way or the highway." It was a very practical, conservative, reasonable road map. I felt more empowered when I left, and it's exactly what I was wanting. It's clear that he really does have his patients' best interests at heart.
5) I find that when doctors allow you to challenge them in a respectful way or ask questions about certain statements, THEY tend to be the TRUE geniuses, for they are secure in their own expertise, and are more than welcome to try to explain or engage patients on their concerns about potential issues or outcomes. And that was Dr. Kim. We need more doctors like this! I feel like most doctors either excel in the smarts department or the emotional intelligence department, and Dr. Kim excelled at both. Rare.
Las Vegas is certainly lucky to have Dr. Kim and team.
