Excellent exhibits. Very pristine atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff. If you are looking for a razzle dazzle museum, this is not it. This is more of a tribute to the solemnity and storytelling behind some of the most powerful weapons and tools ever wielded by human hands.
I have seen reviews of this museum calling it campy or cheesy. I can only see the relevance if those statements are comparing it to the Smithsonian in Washington DC. The Smithsonian has a vast array of artifacts and histories to tell. This museum it was designed for a specific purpose... to document the world's Journey from atomic energy to nuclear power and beyond. I will Jane to say that the area 51 portion was a disappointment. That was very cheesy.
I was amazed at the illustrative timelines utilizing pictures, movies, another various forms of media to tell the story of the nuclear arms race from all countries' perspectives. I could see one being cynical and walking away from this exhibit and thinking that war is war, bombs are bombs, nukes are nukes. But what this museum excels in, is the ability to tell the story of powers that can be used to obliterate mankind, intermixed with the hope that this type of energy and can positively unleashed upon the world if used with forethought.
