| - I have been going to Star of India for years Food has always been consistently good and their service as well. For sure their lunch buffet is the way to go for a quick and inexpensive meal. It costs about $25 for two, tips included. Their buffet has a decent selection of vegetarian dishes (cauliflower (Aloo Gobhi), spinach (Saag paneer), garbanzo beans (Ghana Masala), rice, potato (Aloo Maatter, lentils (Daal Maharni...). Buffet also has lamb, beef and chicken dishes for the carnivores. So there you have it, there is something for everyone. Freshly baked bread (Naan) of your choice is served by your waiter. Of course, buffet also includes fresh greens, tomatoes, onions and more to compose a salad. Lastly, there is a dessert area with pasty balls deep fried in simple syrup (Gulab Jamun) and Rice pudding (Kheer) and complimentary Chai tea. We enjoy Star of India and hope you do too!
