  • People often hate on buffets, but I was raised in northern Nevada and grew up going to them- no shame! So of course I spent some time reading reviews to find the best buffet near the strip at a reasonable price. I finally decided on Wicked Spoon because it was less expensive than the popular Bacchanal buffet at Cesar's. We paid just over $40 each including tax for dinner on a Wednesday night. I became an instant fan! This buffet was huge and offered so many choices. Roast beef, lamb, chicken wings, potatoes, sushi, pizza, macaroni and cheese, countless salads including bacon wedge, quinoa, waldorf, greek, fruit salads, and soup, I could go on forever. This is the first buffet I've been to that served pre-portioned dishes. For example, there would be a section with French onion soup all prepared in separate, small bowls, or mini quinoa salads each in their own tiny dish, or kimchi fried rice served in mini Chinese take out boxes. While this probably contributes to a lot of waste I found it incredibly exciting. I loved everything I tasted, except for the macaroni and cheese. The dessert section was wildly impressive. There were at least 15 flavors of quality gelato to choose from, at least ten different kinds of cakes, multiple cookies, even fancy macaroons, and even gluten free and sugar free dessert options! What a fun and delicious buffet experience. I didn't experience any of the issues other yelpers explain- dishes were refilled quickly if nearing empty, food was flavorful, and there was a good selection of seafood. I would definitely recommend Wicked Spoon to anyone looking for great variety. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in town. Oink!
