Halcyon is certainly one of the best restaurants I've visited in Uptown. It's beautiful inside, with its high ceilings, glass windows, and modern decor. It never got too loud or felt claustrophobic thanks to its wide open floor plan.
Service overall was good, albeit a little slow. The restaurant wasn't even full, yet my group and I felt like the length between ordering and each course was a tad long... we ended up devouring the food once it arrived (which speaks to the strength of the menu!).
I loved the seasonal menu and the way that it is structured - smaller appetizers and plates towards the top of the menu, with the larger entree-sized items towards the bottom/on the back. I went with a group from work and we each picked an appetizer + entree and shared at the table. It worked out perfectly that there were no duplicate orders and we got to try so many different things! Among my favorites - the ceviche, scallops and pork belly, and game sausage.
While it is on the pricey side, Halcyon is perfect for a work outing or special occasion. I hope to dine in again soon, especially once they introduce their spring/summer menu!
