  • I went into this store since I needed two books and I noticed online that they had them in stock at this location. I made the trek to Signal hill for this purpose only. My preference is to go to Crowfoot or Dalhousie since its closer for me but was in need of these two books. Off on an adventure I go! Huge store with lots of selection however finding staff or requiring assistance is tough at this location. I used the computer in store to find where the books were however couldn't find the actual books on the shelves. A bit frustrating! Looked around for staff and none was to be found? So I ventured to the front of the store and asked the cashier for assistance. She wasn't able to help since she needed to stay at cash but did say she would get someone for me. I waited and finally someone showed up. I provided her the titles and where their system stated the books were but couldn't find them. She asked me if I looked on the shelves. My first instinct was to answer sarcastically but then advised her that yes, I indeed looked there before coming up for assistance and its not there. I am not sure if this was her go to answer for everyone but I would think that people look at the shelves and if it's not there then ask for assistance? No idea. I provided her the location again and she was off to look. I followed and indeed the books were not where their system stated. She then stated they most likely sold them? I then advised her I looked online before coming here and they were in stock and I also looked at their system in store which also stated they had 6 in stock. She seemed to be annoyed that I had my ducks in a row. Long story short, she looked in the system too but couldn't find the actual books in the store. It indeed stated they do have them but no idea where. I advised her I would just go online and order since I didn't need them for a week or two anyway. A wasted trip but since they have so many other goodies in the store, I found some home goods to spend money on instead. I did eventually get the books required but ordered them from Amazon which arrived within 2 days and all worked out. This store is huge, lots of selection and they have the best home goods (pillows, candles, glasses etc.) but the lack of staff and the one I dealt with, was no help at all. I wouldn't return to this store unless I really needed something. It's far and I have two other Chapters within 15 minutes of my home that are great!
