I was not happy with our most recent experience at this facility for a number of reasons. First of all, I will tell you that we used the boarding facility back in October 2014 and did not have any concerns. Our dog had a good experience then. However, we most recently used boarding here again in May 2015 and our dog came back home with a rash on his underbelly and a significant cut on his nose. The staff did not mention anything to us about this in his report. My dog was significantly more lethargic than usual upon his return home. He is a one year old chocolate Labrador with a lot of puppy energy, so I immediately knew something was wrong. After a $160 vet bill and medication for a skin infection we called the owner of Camp Bow Wow, expecting to get some sort of reimbursement. After numerous conversations with myself and my husband, the owner promised to come to an agreement. However, she refused to acknowledge responsibility for the rash and refused any type of reimbursement for the vet bill. I would not have been as upset if the staff notified me ahead of time or told me that my dog was developing a rash. My dog was definitely sick when he was brought home on day 6. Needless to say, we will not be using this facility again and I am extremely unhappy with their customer service. I thought I was paying for someone to watch my dog and ensure that he is happy and as comfortable as possible. In addition, they removed the necessary dog tags from his collar and have yet to find them. I am incredibly displeased with the overall lackadaisical attitude of the staff.
