About the closest you can come to an old time saloon in Vegas. It's obvious why this place has been around so long. Gotta say that this time around, on a Saturday night, the service was a little spotty. We sat at the bar as usual and interacted with three different servers before the drinks were even delivered (one of which was wrong). Also, our end of the bar was empty so we requested that the TV channel be switched to a game other than that which was being shown. Our request was conveyed to the manager who listened and then rejoined the crowd of wait staff congregated outside the window to the kitchen. (No channel change)
In any case the food, when it arrived, as usual was top notch and servers were all pleasant. Comparatively speaking, Triple George offers good value for Vegas and, despite the hassle of dealing with downtown parking, should definitely be on your list if your in the Fremont street area. We're locals so we have a relatively good handle on the downtown dining scene and Saturday's experience was unusual so we will definitely be back.
