  • I have been a loyal sprouts customer for five years. I really like that sprouts has such a great produce selection with prices that reflect the season. I also love sprouts's butcher. Sprouts is a farmers market, so the best way to shop at sprouts is to come frequently and buy less. I love sprouts for their random sales they have on produce items. They'll have blueberries on sale for a dollar and stuff like that. Since I mostly buy produce and meat, I really am extremely happy with sprouts. I think they have the best quality and price value on produce and meat. I also really like this location because it is next to Trader Joe's, right off the freeway, and right by my house. Even though I love sprouts, there's no such thing a perfect grocery store. Anything other than meat and produce is hard to buy. Even the bakery goods are disappointing. The house brand bread would be a really great alternative to the other expensive brands, however I don't buy sprouts baked goods because on several occasions I have found moldy loaves of bread on the shelf. When I mentioned this to customer sales representatives, they offered to refund me, but I have never spoken to a manager or anyone who could possibly have an impact on the situation. I don't think Sprouts really makes an effort to survey customers or anything like that, which I guess is normal. I have also found expired items on the shelves. The only thing that I don't like about sprouts is that they do not offer the selection that other grocery stores offer. as for the rest of the grocery store, I do like that sprouts offers a lot of specialty items that are hard to find somewhere else. Sprouts is a good happy medium if you like to buy some healthy/exotic specialty items but you don't want to shop at whole foods. However, when it comes to standard packaged foods, Selection is very limited. Often times I am unable to find common ingredients needed for recipes, or they only carry the organic version of the basic items that I need, making it very expensive. I do wish that sprouts had a better selection of condiments, basic canned foods, and other such things. Sprouts does not even pretend to price match regular grocery store prices. You definitely pay a premium to shop at sprouts unless you are buying strictly produce and meat, in which case I would argue that you're getting your moneys worth.
