  • I took my Dodge Ram to the Squeaky Clean place on W. Bell Road as it was past the 3,000 miles recommended, though the oil looked clean and the level was still just above the full mark on the dipstick. And the truck was muddy from my trip to rural Utah the past week. I told them I wanted the free wash that came with the oil change. They told me it would be extra because my 350 took 7 quarts of oil. OK. Then they said 10.00 more because the truck was muddy. OK. After I paid I saw they offered a senior discount and I asked about this and the lady gave me 2.00 back. Fine. I watched the dryer step into the truck's bed to wipe off the rear window and open each door to wipe inside. When he waived his rag to us sitting outside I went to my truck and showed him my receipt and gave him the two dollars for a tip. When I checked the oil level later it showed - about ONE QUART OVER FULL. And there was MUD in the bed of the truck. I checked it several more times over the next couple days and got different readings and figured this hemi engine just needed a long time for the oil to drain down and I believed it was bad for the engine to have too much oil in the crank. I googled it and found the info and printed out the page. I went back to Squeaky Clean and asked for the manager and showed him the receipt and told him the issue. He said OK and they started the truck and drove it over the oil pit. There they found the dipstick read FULL. WE argued for a few minutes and checked it more times and it got to 1/8 inch over the the full line and I felt stupid so I said I was sorry and left. After I ate lunch I checked the oil level and it was again more than ONE QUART OVER the full line. It seemed to need 30 minutes for the oil to drain down to give an accurate reading. So I learned that they don't check their work at Squeaky Clean and they don't care if they leave your ride with too much oil - potentially causing it to seize up. And no one bothers sweep out the water in the bed of your truck - for which they charge extra if it is dirty. I won't go back to Squeaky Clean again.
