  • Being a local who lives minutes away from this course, I've come to love this place for its challenging design, friendly pricing, and great service. In fact, its one of our favorites courses in town. Unfortunately, my party ran into one of the first bad experiences with AZ Grand GC today. Tee-time for our party of 3 was 11:52 AM, which we were ready for come tee-off time. I noticed a party of four head out just before we were told we were up next. That party of 4 caused our party of 3 to play a round of 18 holes in a total of 5 hours. Now, we're not the best of golfers by any means, average at best, and we're not judging the skills of the party in front of us even though they were well below beginner status. What gets me writing this review was the fact that the official start time for that foursome, was 12:24 PM! I know that, thanks to the posted times they hang on each cart that goes out. Over 5 hours for 3 decent golfers?? Hate to be part of this social complaint avenue, but if I wasn't already late to an engagement I had to get to right away, I would have talked to the management. Can't understand what happened to the coordination here today, but that's just not right. We even spoke up to the ranger, who said he tried to move things along. No luck. On the bright side, the highlight of my day besides the perfect weather, was the cart service!! She was the best!!
