| - I was terrified to get on my flight after reading so many horrible reviews. The night before I didn't sleep, shaking and crying I finally manned up and got on the 1 stop flight from Chicago to Phoenix with a connecting flight to L.A.
It wasn't the greatest experience I have ever had, but it was definitely better than expected. Here is why it might have sucked:
-The interior of the plane was aging (i.e. seats were worn out)
-No entertainment
-No free food/snacks ( but we were offered juice/pop/water)
- Airbus 320 had less leg room than Airbus 321, and the latter also seemed more haggard
But the thing is....
The interior passed my expectations ( I was comfortable enough), I found my own entertainment ( magazines, books and my phone), food wasn't a problem because both my flights were under four hours, and the leg room problem was solved by a few visits to the washroom to stretch out my legs
I am giving US Airways 4 stars because they got me home safely, the staff was friendly, pilots were excellent and communicated with the flyers frequently which calmed my anxiety, both my flights were on time, I was happy I didn't have to pay 1,500 for an American Airline ticket and spent 400 instead and had an overall satisfactory experience!
