rev:text	We have stayed up and down and off the strip but this time we wanted to stay in the middle of everything--sort of--so we opted for The Mirage. We were not disappointed. It was great. We were there before official check in time but they had a room ready for us anyway. The people at the front desk were so nice and helpful. When we got to our room, we were even more impressed. The room was immaculate and the view was amazing. It looked out over the strip and from our room, each night we could watch the volcano. The first morning we slept in and ordered room service from The Pantry. It was delivered in about 20 minutes instead of the 45 they estimated. And it was yummy--the potatoes especially. Everyday when we returned from our adventures, the room had been tidied and after the second night, the sheets were even changed without us requesting. The only con is the coffee situation as mentioned in a few other posts. There isn't a coffee pot in the room and room service coffee is $15 for a large "box." There is a Starbucks in the hotel which is great. I didn't mind going down to it really but the guy in front of me did not seem impressed with my early morning "Flock of Seagulls" hairdo! But that's more his problem than mine. We are planning on returning to Vegas at Christmas and we will be staying at the Mirage.
