| - We went for dinner to The Dark Horse on 2401 Bloor ST. West in Toronto, on July 15. We were five - 3 adults and 2 kids. We ordered drinks, appetizers and our main dish. My daughter ordered fish. It was amazing she kept on waiting for one - not a word as to what happened to her order. Has the lady, who took the order, gone to buy the fish from the market or what., Finally, my daughter Lakshmi got up to remind her about her food. No apology, not a word, "Yes, I will tell the chef...know "
Still no sign of fish. Then as my daughter took the baby to bathroom, she encountered the lady who took the order. She told her again. "Oh it will be very fast now..." Another 15 minutes gone with no sign of the fish. My daughter then, and rightly so, told the lady "Cancel my order for fish" and the lady said "OK" and quickly she comes with the bill and machine e to process our credit card. So, she was very prompt in collecting the money but not in providing service.
We may have encountered bad service other restaurants as well but people are more courteous. They can make mistakes but they know how to own their mistakes. That's not so at 'The Dark Horse."
You decide if you would like to go at such a restaurant. They are not giving free food. You pay good money but they don't know how to be courteous to their customers.
IIt is for this reason we didn't give a penny tip to the lady. The bill was for $82.77 and that's what she got.
