  • I have never been to a barber shop to get my hair cut. I've always gone to a salon. Sometimes I can't get into the salon to see my gal to get a trim and get my undercut shaved. I saw that this place is really close to my job and decided to try them out for my undercut. I tried to do a walk-in, but they were busy so I scheduled for the next morning before I went to work. I was put in the book for 10am. When I left all they said, "bye, Kristine." I showed up the next morning 5 minutes late (I'm sorry) and Favian who I spoke with the day before took me. I sat down on the old school barber chair and was prepped for my undercut. I asked if he needed me to put the rest of my hair in a ponytail and he said he'd do it. He put my hair up and apologized that he didn't do a very good job, but it worked. Lol He then started to use the clippers on my hair. It felt like Favian used different clipper and guards to cut my undercut and took a lot of care to cut my hair. He then put some hot shaving cream on the bottom of my hair line then put a hot towel on around my head and neck. Then he used a straight razor to clean up my edges. The experience was great. I was so intimidated to go into a barbershop, but the staff were super friendly. I can't stop talking to people about my experience with them. I highly recommend Downtown Vintage Barbershop.
