  • Petland is a slightly better alternative to chain pet stores, but its treatment for the animals is unnacceptable. The dogs are in cages eating their own fecies and have no comfort (they are on a wire floor and theyre in those cages for long amounts of time) Any birds they recieve are treated poorly and unsocialized, and as im sure you know, birds (especially ones like toucans and blue macaws) are VERY intelegent. these animals are going crazy in their cages. furthermore the puppies are claimed to "not be bought from puppy mills" but knowing former employees there and through extensive research their puppies are in fact, baught from puppy mills. they buy the dogs in the low hundereds and sell them for high thousands, their profit margin is insane and unfair. finishing off, their staff is rude and immature. they keep an eye on who comes in and if you question how they treat the animals they will assure you that its well, (when its not) and tell the whole rest of the staff who you are and what you look like, then will procede to treat you unfairly. If you live in this area i suggest adopting a dog, and for animal supplies, go to eaather reptiles and reefs (on sunset and stephanie) or sloppy kisses (on horizon and horizon) PLEASE DONT SUPPORT PETLAND!!
