HERTZ AT PHOENIX SKY HARBOR RIPS OFF AN ELDERLY LADY
My mom, almost 80 years old and traveling alone, was charged $535.15 for a two day rental from Hertz at Sky Harbor Airport (yes, you read right, OVER $500 for two days!). The reservation she walked in with gave the total estimated charge as $167. While picking up the car my mother was asked if she would "like to be put into a Buick" - She said yes, but was never told that there was an ADDITIONAL $90.00 A DAY fee for the Buick (making the total base price for the car for each day $158.20). She was also sold insurances and a gasoline prepay that she thought she was initialing to decline. Shame on these Hertz employees for blatantly ripping off an elderly lady, and shame on AAA for continuing to steer their customers towards locations where reviewers have repeatedly warned about being ripped off. There are some real, real bad people at the Hertz Phoenix Sky Harbor location.
