  • TLDR: good, quality hotel, decent value Room amenities: typical hotel in this regard. Bed, couple chairs, desk, dresser with TV / drawers / mini-fridge + microwave. Some notes on more unusual things: the door to the bathroom is a sliding door shared with the closet. So one of them is always going to be open. Little weird, not going to lie. TV was a little unresponsive to the remote at first. Services: The main detriment (at least in my opinion) is that it is very unclear how to use their shuttle; in fact, it's not even in their list of services in the in-room binder. When you land at YYC, go outside, toward the middle island between the terminals and the parking lot, and walk toward #16 and 17. On there is a small sign listing all of the different hotels' shuttle contact numbers; you call them and basically they'll show up in about 10 minutes or so. Their regular shuttle was broken when I was there, so no idea on its capacity; the replacement was a rental minivan (seats up to 8). Now if you want to get back to the airport, you have to book the shuttle a day in advance, which means that if you are like me and (a) couldn't find any information on the shuttle specifics on the actual website and (b) was checking out the next day, you can't use the shuttle to get back to the airport. This is particularly bad because there's no public transit around, so even if you are not checking out the next day, if you have no car, you are reliant on scheduling around this shuttle to get you to the airport. Would be less of an issue if it was more clearly explained online. Naturally this will also be an issue if you get in late and need to find food, as the nearby options within walking distance are mostly fast food places. Breakfast: looks nice, pretty average. They only had scrambled eggs and sausage as the hot items, plus the make your own waffle maker. Typical selection of baked products, juice, coffee, etc. Bus your own plates. Seating can get crowded after 8 AM. Absolute zilch on the Pokemon Go front; can't even see a stop or a gym at the most zoomed out scale. TLDR: nice hotel, couple of little things that will start adding up to irritate you
