| - My husband saw a truck online he was interested in. Went in, test drove, liked it, but couldn't come to an agreement on the price. KH would not come down a penny on a truck that was almost $3k over book. Salesman gave us the typical we've got a long line of people interested, we'd lose $ if we sold it for that, etc, etc. No hard feelings, we left, he's found multiple other trucks with 50k less miles for same or less money, so we feel very confident we made the right decision.
What irks us both is that this dealer who claims they've got a line of people waiting to purchase this vehicle has now been chasing my husband via phone and email, begging him to come in and try to renegotiate. When my husband keeps telling them his original (absolutely fair) price stands, the sales manager has gotten rude in his emails and insists on having the last word. Two pieces of advice, Butch at KH; 1) don't tell people you've got a line of people waiting and then continue CHASING us; 2) don't continue harassing a potential customer if you won't come down to book value.
Buyers - do your homework before letting any dealer bully you into a bad deal!! NADA and KBB are your friends!
