AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
These people do not care about patients at all! A family member of mine was brought here after losing consciousness due to an allergic reaction and I was completely disgusted by the way they treat patients! She was given Benadryl in the ambulance while being transported, upon our arrival she was forced off the bed by an RN into a room where there wasn't even seats available (oh and she could barely stand, but of course they didn't care)!
She went through test after test and wasn't able to see a physician for 5 HOURS! When we were finally able to see the physician "Quin Tyson Newby" he was no help whatsoever and made us feel like a nuisance for asking questions- very underserving of a MD title! Meanwhile, she could barely hold her head up nor speak. I asked a woman working the front desk of the "triage window" for a cup of water to which she looked to her side picked up a plastic cup that had been sitting on the desk and handed it to me and said "here, a cup of water"- ARE YOU JOKING?! A cup of water that's been sitting in a hospital office that god knows who has drank out of. I kindly responded if I could have another one as that one had been sitting there and may belong to someone else-- she then said she was "busy" and I'd have to wait. I walked away and saw her get on her cell phone.
While sitting in the waiting room, (which by the way smelled like urine and every other foul thing you could think of) I witnessed a woman legitimately seizing for nearly 5 minutes before anyone came out to help her- meanwhile, patients are yelling for help.
DO NOT COME HERE THEY DO NOT CARE FOR PATIENTS! Horribly dirty, careless physicians, completely unacceptable service!
I will be filing a formal complaint with the city and medical board with photos/ video displaying the carelessness of Sunrise Hospital's employees- the practices of this facility are despicable.
