My first time here, but what I had was really delicious. The owner was here talking with customers. He seems like a nice guy.
I ate the 10" roast pork Italian with broccoli rabe. I've seen this sandwich on TV shows and it always looked delicious, so I was excited to find a place that had one. I've never had one, so can't compare if it's "authentic" or whatnot.
This sandwich has sharp provolone and au jus on it. I would have liked a small side of the juice to come out with the sandwich by default, but the sandwich was by no means dry. The bottom was soggy just how I would expect. The pork was juicy and sliced thin. It was basically like a French dip, but with pork instead of beef, and some rabe on top.
I can't wait to come back to have another one of these! It's very filling, so if you don't eat much, maybe go with a 6".
