Arizona small dog rescue takes in so many dogs, puppies, and even a few cats that would otherwise be put to sleep at county shelters. They have a brand newly remodeled facility that is top notch. I foster for them and have had great experiences! The people who run AZSDR care completely about the health and well being of all the animals in its care. They even rescue any parvo puppy that would otherwise be certainly euthanized at any other shelter. While the adoption fees are higher than at county shelters, that is because you get a dog that really has had medical treatment, grooming, and actual care. I'd rather pay more for a healthy, clean dog or puppy than a dog fresh off the streets for 20 to 75 dollars.
