I recently completed the six-week challenge at the UFC gym on Blue Diamond; I lost 25.6 lbs. overall. If you are looking for motivating workouts with excellent coaches this is a great facility. There is very little traditional gym cardio equipment, 2 single person restrooms, no secure place for personal belongings, and a single shower; if any of that is important to you this may not be a great fit.
For the six-week challenge there is an ample amount of classes at different times of the day (the exception is weekend nights) to choose from (challengers are required to do at least 3 a week), and the coaches are great at working with all skill levels. I could feel myself becoming stronger and having greater endurance as my challenge progressed. My favorite classes were the Daily Ultimate Trainings since they are more circuit training so the hour went by quickly. While I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and coaches the support of the nutrition side of the challenge was minimal; more than once I asked a question to the person who said they were in charge of the nutrition to be spoken to with short answers for them to call me less than ten minutes later asking if I had questions about the challenge in general, and them having no clue they just spoke to me. I understand there are many people doing the challenge and visiting they gym but it isn't that difficult to be polite, the coaches are much more personable.
If you do the six-week challenge be prepared to be on top of getting your pictures and nutrition sorted on your own, I know they have changed how they are doing this since I started but for me they did not offer to take my pictures before or after even though it is required. At the end of my challenge I waited 45 minutes after my scheduled time for the final weigh appointment to start only to be made to feel guilty for the next 40 minutes about the amount of paperwork they would endure since I wanted my challenge deposit refunded and I did not want to continue my membership. I was told more than once how the paperwork was just going to add to the difficulties they were already facing along with it being an inconvenience to the accountant, if I knew it was going to be such a hassle I would not have signed up in the first place.
Overall, I recommend a membership at the UFC gym on Blue Diamond if you are looking for challenging courses instructed by passionate coaches (Carlos and Jae were my favorites) who want to see you succeed, that being said I do not recommend the six-week challenge due to lack of support and organization outside of the classes. I personally would also like to see a secure place for personal belongings since you are required to check in using a smart phone and it isn't feasible to have it next to you during the classes.
