  • Oh Flamingo, you saved our vacation! Seriously! We had just checked into another hotel and a myriad of unfortunate things just made us unhappy (location, amenities, etc.) We decided to try to recover our trip, and see if we could switch hotels. Our booking agent could only refund some $, and then charge us a ton to switch hotels. We called Flamingo reservations, explained our plight, and they were so quick to help us. Through Total Rewards, they were able to move us quickly and not-at-all expensively (compared to the same room booked through another site.) Somehow they knew how exhausted we were from our transportation issues, because a gentleman from the express check-in actually pulled us out of the middle of the line for expedited service. What a great surprise! Unfortunately, I always have to shave off one star because the hotel is old and needs some sprucing up. I really wish I could make it a half star.
