| - I recently moved to the Central Phoenix area, and I saw Garage a few times driving by, so we decided to check it out! It's definitely a cool little spot with an interesting menu. They have happy hour till 7pm, which if you live nearby makes it a good weeknight spot because you can quickly stop at home first and still make it :)
I started with a White Sands Martini - this drink is definitely heavy on tequila, so if that's not your thing or you're more into margaritas I would recommend asking for extra pineapple juice. The taste was a little strong for me! I would have ordered a beer instead, but their list was kind of limited - definitely more of a wine place!
For food, we decided to stick to the happy hour menu because the prices were a lot better. They have three different kinds of sliders (each order comes with two), and we couldn't decide which to get so we just tried them all. My favorite was the Black and Blue Burger Slider - not too strong with the blue cheese and the meat was cooked really well! The BBQ Pork were really tasty, and the Grilled Chicken reminded me of the caprese sliders a lot of places make, minus the tomato. We also tried the Garage Fries because I saw them in a lot of other Yelp photos, and those were delicious!! I think they'd be better if the Parmesan were more melty, so I might ask for that ;) The chipotle ranch on the side was a nice touch, too, and actually pretty spicy!
For dessert we split the Skillet Cookie, which I really enjoyed. A lot like the typical Pizookie, but the cookie was a bit thinner. Super yummy, but eating this after all the sliders and fries definitely gave me a little food baby lol. Not sure when we'll be back since there are so many places around here, but I'm really glad we gave this place a try!
