  • If you are polish and deprived of the goodies "across the pond," well, Wawel (va-vel) has it all. There are a bunch of Wawel's sprinkled around Montreal, but this one is definitely new. I would say, about a year, more or less - which is super because who doesn't love fresh clean cafes? As you enter, on the left you are drawn to the assortment of pierogis, and further down in you find the pastries. Napoleonki - they got it. Paczki, heck yes! Makowiec, duh. Everything that you remember or have heard about Poland is all here and yours for the eating. Prices are super fair so you can do take-out or eat in at one of their petit tables. Worth the visit.
