| - I really hesitated to write this review, but feel others should know what happened to us at this practice. My fiance' had used them before with no incident. We added a new sweet little boy dog to our family, and that's when the problems started. He injested some chocolate and was taken there to "detox". Dr Rose was very attentive and seemed to really care about the situation. Answered all our calls and questions. We were told he'd be ok, but they wanted to keep him over night for observation. Sounded good to us. When we went to pick him up the next day, we were told he had a neurological issue in his neck and would most likely need surgery and a neurological specialist. This was the last thing we expected to hear. When Dr Rose saw our panic, she said there was a "benefactor" of the practice who would take him in and be finantially responsible for his if we would sign ownership over to them. We were promised he'd be in good hands and have a forever, loving home. This sounded like the best outcome for us and for our boy and we felt confident that we could trust Dr Rose. We were very sad to see him go, but knew he'd be well taken care of. To our GREAT surprise, within a month, we received a call from the shelter we got him from, asking if he had gotten out, that they had him back there at the shelter!! I asked how he arrived there, and was told that a lady brought him in and said she traveled alot for work and couldn't keep him. At this point I was fuming and went back to GVAH and asked how our boy was doing in his new home. If they had any pictures, etc. I was then informed that he was doing great and was happy. I almost lost it then, and asked "then, why is he back at the shelter!!!!" Every jaw dropped in that office. Dr Rose refused to speak with me then, and on subsequent visits and calls to the office. I asked for his medical records and there is NO evidence of any surgery or consultation with a neurologist!! Based on everything that happened, I feel our boy was taken from us under false circumstances. I can't imagine how a vet could do this to people who clearly loved their dog. Needless to say, there's NO WAY I can recommend this practice....
